Mollies are easy to care for aquarium fish. In the same family as swordtails, guppies, and platies, they bear live fish babies as opposed to laying eggs. This makes them easy for anyone to breed and, thus, beginning aquarists who want to try their hand at producing fish.
Mollies should be kept in a tank that has at least 15 gallons of water. Make sure there are a right heater and gravel at the bottom. The water should be between 70 degrees and 82 degrees. Mollies are interesting because they can live in freshwater or saltwater in your freshwater aquarium, you might want to add 1 tbsp of aquarium salt per 5 gallons of water.
