Teach Your Dog to Find Your Keys

Ever lost your keys and spent ages trying to find them? Why not teach your dog how to find them. Dogs have a highly developed sense of smell, with approximately 25 times more scent receptors than humans. Dogs use their sense of smell to communicate with each other, and ancestrally they used it to find food. Although dogs no longer need to search for their food, they still use their sense of smell to investigate their surroundings. This is obvious with most dogs when they are out on a walk and can be seen sniffing the ground and air. So why not use this natural behavior to play fun games that both you and your dog will enjoy.

Starting soon is a new seven-week scent course, which will give you an understanding of how a dog’s sense of smell works, and you will learn how to teach your dog to enjoy using his nose. How about a new party trick – teach your dog to fetch the right shoes for the right guest!

Fun club Most owners enjoy spending time with their dogs, and dogs enjoy learning. We know that many owners are happy as long as their dog walks nicely on the lead and does all the basics and don’t want to take their training to a more advanced level. This is why we’ve created a fun club where owners can carry on training their dog, but to do fun activities. Training is excellent for developing and strengthening the bond between dog and owner, and the club will be a unique way for you to meet other dog owners.
